Continuity of Care
Midwives provide care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the first six weeks after delivery. Clients can contact their midwife 24 hours a day, seven days a week with urgent concerns. At MOM&A, you will usually only have two midwives involved in your care.

Midwifery care is free for Ontario residents.
Informed Choice
Midwives support clients to make informed decisions about their care, which means discussing the possible advantages, disadvantages, potential risks, alternatives, community standards and available research involved in each decision.
Choice of Birthplace
Midwives of Middlesex & Area are pleased to offer our clients the option to give birth at home, in our clinic birth room or at the hospital.
Midwives are the only healthcare professionals that are specifically trained to attend out-of-hospital births and offer their clients a choice of birthplace.
